Two of my little granddaughters came to spend the night at Nana and Papas.

Ok… they don’t really look like this when they come over to Pine Lodge on a Friday night, but it is a sweet picture.

Keira and Scharae prefer black dogs to any other colors.  They have claimed O My as theirs.
Not only is she their favorite color, but she is the smallest of all the adult dogs.  And, best of all, she doesn’t mind all their lovin’s!
So this Friday night, it was bath night for O My!!!
So the girls got ready…

But we had to let them know they were a little OVER dressed… they had to lose the waterwings!
Next they had to find O My.  She likes lovin’s but she’s not so sure about baths!  To increase her bathing pleasure, we found a new shampoo just for O My!
Our friend, J.P., who lives in Brussels, introduced us to this line of dog care products, called Oh My Dog!  We couldn’t resist, of course, and bought some for our O My.
So first the girls filled the tub with a few inches of warm water, and hopped in.  They coaxed O My to join them…and then we just put her in there with them.  They carefully doused her with water…
They got O My all wet, but her head.  They know they better save her head for last because when you get a dog’s head wet  they….
SHAKE!!!
Keira next carefully inspected the new shampoo…
After squeezing out a GENEOUS amount, both girls began to lather her up.
 and lathering…
Keira washed her top to bottom, side to side and carefully cleaned her white chest.
Next came rinsing..
and rinsing…
and rinsing some more.
And finally O My was nice and clean!
The girls of course needed a nice bath, and a cookie and some milk after all of that.
And that is how you bathe a dog if you are Keira and Scharae!
