Next to my dogs, my next favorite hobby is sewing.  I use to sew more time and labor intense projects, but I am finding my attention span and spare time comes in small snatches, stolen here and there.  But I am taking them, anyway I can!  Having 4 adorable granddaughters of course ads to the fun… and I am having way too much fun!

So, I went with my daughter-in-law, Joanne, to the wonderful little quilt store in Rexburg, Idaho.  The owner there is a very talented and industrious woman, but she is lacking in imagination.  Well, you can’t have everything…. I have imagination and am lacking in the other two qualities.  Anyway… on the wall she had these darling skirts.  They were called something like ” child’s skirt.”  I told her I would like to make some, but I was going to call them something different… “Hokey Pokey Skirts,”  because they are colorful and look like dancing.  She looked at me and said, “You can call them anything you want,” like I was some kind of a nut or something….  I am tyring to find some music buttons of “hokey pokey” music to put in a secret pocket.  I know the parents will love it!

Here are a couple of pictures of my “Hokey Pokey” skirts.

I will have to get pictures of my other quick and fun projects and post them on here.

I really do sometimes have a life beyond my doodles!
