We are doing a lot of waiting, here at Pine Lodge. We are waiting to make announcements…We are waiting for puppies!
Currently there are three ladies in waiting.
There is Sydney, who is due today… since she didn’t meet her due date last Friday. She just moves from one bed to another… not too ambitious.
There is Mazy, who s due Wednesday, but really looks like she would like to have her puppies NOW! She really has a waddle to her walk… but she can here someone in the kitchen in her sleep!
And there is Copper, who from our calendar, was due on Saturday. Copper is really waddling, but quite active, until she plops down.
When you estimate a dogs due date, you estimate it to be in 63 days… or 9 weeks. You can also have a vet do an x-ray and estimate it by the calcification of the bones. And with those two methods were looking at this past weekend for all three girls.

We took our maternity ward for a ride yesterday. Here in the U.S. it is Memorial Day today, Monday the 31st. Yesterday the girls and us drove out to a cemetery and placed flowers on some family graves. We then continued on for another hour or so, across the river, on some winding and bumping roads. We ended our trip by crossing back over the river on a ferry boat, at the Wheatland Crossing, so the girls could have a little boat ride. And did that induce anyone into thinking about having their babies? No!
So here we are, speculating, who will have their babies first?
Will it be mama number 1, Sydney?
Check back with us to find that answer out!
