Current Gal Breeding Program

What factors determine whether a dog is eligible for our breeding program? The most crucial element for us when considering a female for our breeding program is her temperament. Following temperament, we also check health, build, coat, and color. Our dogs live in our home and interact with our grandchildren, so it’s essential that they are well-suited to this environment. We believe that many of these traits will be naturally inherited by their puppies. Following temperament, we assess the appropriate build, coat, and color.

When she reaches the appropriate age, we conduct necessary tests on our parent dogs to ensure we are producing the healthiest puppies possible. The minimum evaluations for all our breeding dogs include assessments for hip and elbow dysplasia, EIC, and PRA. Additionally, we maintain DNA records for each of our breeding dogs.
